Assignments on metric lengths were due today.  Many students didn’t have their homework to turn in and so I have decided to give them until next Monday to complete it and turn it in.

We finished learning our vocabulary words for “Old Yeller” and completed a worksheet to reinforce the meanings of the words.  We completed an exercise on “settings” and the importance of understanding the setting in most stories to better identify with characters.  All students passed off their first “sight words” worksheet.

Every student completed and brought their homework to class… great job!  We covered lesson 2 which dealt with properties of operations and sequences.  Students were assigned mixed practice problems which will be due tomorrow at the beginning of class.  Tomorrow the concepts that will be taught/reviewed are missing numbers in addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
