All three math groups are moving along and progressing quite well…
Groups 1 and 2 are being managed by Mrs. M and are staying on track to desired performance.

For the next week or so, we will be reviewing for the math placement test for Jr. High. Students who are eligible to take the test were identified and should know who they are. If you as parents have any questions about your child related to this test… please get in touch with me.
We corrected Lesson 43 today and Lesson 44 is due tomorrow
Lesson 45 will be due Friday and we will also be taking a unit test on that day
We corrected Lesson 40 today and concepts were taught for Lesson 41 which will be due next Thursday
Unit exam for Lessons 35 through 40 will be given tomorrow; make-up will be next Friday

For the next three or four days we will be working in the classroom on a math quest. A math quest is like a treasure hunt on the interent for math related facts and concepts. It also teaches students how to more effectively navigate the internet.
Students didn’t do too well on their probability quiz… will review the concepts
Comprehensive test 6A/B is a take home test and will be due tomorrow at the beginning of class… therefore, there will be no make-up for this test if a student receives a poor grade
Assigned mixed practive problems on Lesson 35 which will be due tomorrow

Students seem to be all doing fine with this eighth grade math curriculum and as a whole did very well on the last comprehensive test

Students collectively did very well on comprehensive test which was given today… make-up test for those who would like to improve their test score will be given this Friday

Also tomorrow, we will correct Lessons 26, 27, and 28.
Friday, we will review problems that most students missed on their Math Benchmark I test.
